The Role
Overview
Shop technician for custom power distribution equipment manufacturing & field service
Key Responsibilities

Tasks
-Performing repairs to equipment as needed. -Material handling & transportation, including loading/offloading shipments & maneuvering material/enclosures around the warehouse & shop -Assist in manufacturing, assembling, installing, and repairing of custom equipment based on project specifications. -Cleaning & organization of the shop & warehouse on a regular basis -Cutting, punching, installing all material supports & components required, including but not limited to steel brackets & supports, copper buswork, small/medium/large gauge cable, breakers etc.

What You Bring
-Ability to work independently and also in a team environment. -High school degree or equivalent (required) -Ability to read and interpret technical drawings -Ability to lift and move up to 50lbs -Component assembly, including camboards, switchboards, and other components for enclosures -Construction or manufacturing experience preferred -Electrical background highly preferred but can train those with a background/training in plumbing, carpentry and/or automotive -Regular exposure to dust, odors, oil, fumes, and noise. -Strong mechanical aptitude & ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and machinery -Relatively relaxed & low-pressure environment is standard, as projects normally take days to weeks to manufacture; daily quotas typically do not apply, unless extenuating circumstances occur -Valid and clean driver's license (required) -Enclosure modifications, including but not limited to cutting, punching, or otherwise altering enclosures
