- Support VP‑Field Operations and HR to ensure FMLA, ADA, and workers’ compensation compliance.
- Deliver safety‑related training to employees and subcontractor personnel on site.
- Attend monthly corporate Safety Committee meetings.

The Senior Safety Coordinator actively supports Layton Construction project teams to ensure effective implementation of environmental, safety, and health standards at the site level. This role requires a strong foundation in construction safety practices and a demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
The ideal candidate holds a BA/BS (preferred) with at least five years of construction or industrial health and safety experience, practical knowledge of building construction safety, and certifications such as OSHA 510, OSHA 30‑hour, Safety Trained Supervisor, and First Aid/CPR/AED. Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication, organizational skills, and a commitment to continuous learning and ESH competency development are required.
- BA/BS preferred with at least five years of construction or industrial health‑and‑safety experience.
- Minimum five years of practical knowledge in building construction safety.
- Documented continuing education and practical knowledge in construction safety.
- OSHA 510 certification for construction industry standards.
- Current First Aid, CPR, and AED certification (completed within past two years).
- Completed OSHA 30‑hour construction training and Safety Trained Supervisor (STS) certification.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to maintain effective working relationships.
- Clear verbal and written communication with strong organization and grammar.
- Capability to perform essential duties accurately and safely, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Proficiency in conveying English safety commands, questions, and instructions.
