The Line Powerline Technician role involves constructing, operating, inspecting, and maintaining overhead transmission and distribution lines, as well as related substation apparatus. Safety protocols and preventive maintenance are central, and the technician will also help develop apprentices and new hires.
Candidates must hold a high school diploma (or equivalent) and a valid Journeyperson Powerline Technician Certificate, with eligibility for the Interprovincial Red Seal. Required credentials include a Class 5 driver’s licence (with ability to obtain Class 1 or 3), a valid First Aid certificate, and a residence within the Peace River service area for on‑call standby duties.
