Project Manager Civil Engineer, Public Works

Description

• Responsible for managing and overseeing the design and construction of municipal roadway, trails, drainage, and water/wastewater utility projects.
• Diverse and interdisciplinary teams can manage projects from inception through completion.
• Manage clients and supervise technical staff.
• Conduct and manage design and plan production.
• Provide training/mentorship of other engineers.
• Halff’s Context Sensitive Solutions (CSS) experts ensure projects are designed in a manner sensitive to the environment and its context, without cost increases.

Requirements

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Professional Engineer (PE) License in Texas
• Experience in trail/shared use path design is preferred
• Ability to manage transportation, drainage, or water and wastewater projects and lead/mentor staff
• At least 5 to 10 years of experience in municipal infrastructure design (minimum 3 years of Project Management experience)
• Experience managing design and plan production
• AutoCAD Civil 3D experience is required
• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Civil Engineering or ABET accredited equivalent Engineering degree
• State and Federal Grant Writing
• Strong technical knowledge in municipal transportation and infrastructure design
• Ability to manage clients and supervise technical staff

• Experience in the Dallas-Fort Worth area and general knowledge of local criteria including NCTCOG and/or TxDOT
