Maintains Company vehicle in a clean and orderly state inside and out at all times .
S afely load and unload heavy equipment such as excavators, rock trucks, dump trucks, dozers, and various heavy equipment accessories on to and off 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 and 13 axle lowboy (RGN) trailers .
Daily pre-shift vehicle and equipment inspections; maintain daily log.
Work in areas of uneven terrain .
Inspect , clean, and perform minor repairs to equipment using hand tools and / or report malfunctions to Mobilization S upervisor.
Inspect tractor-trailer before and after trip.
Perform daily safety checks and required fluid checks , filter check s, etc.
The operator is expected to use their experience and judgment to make good driving decisions.
Report any issues or incidents to Mobilization S upervisor .

Ability to l oad and unload various types of heavy equipment used in the construction industry on to and off 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 and 13 axle lowboy (RGN) trailers .
Approach and complete work in a meticulous, thorough and timely manner.
Ability to use email, smart phone, tablet, or computer to manage company information and documents.
Must have a sense of responsibility for the safety of the public, the work crew, self, and all other employees.
Read and comprehend site-specific rules , maintenance instructions , and training manuals .
Familiar with FMCSA and DOT regulations, permitting and routing.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
This position reports to Mobilization at the Corporate office and may be required to travel locally 50% of the time and out of town 50% of the time.
Minimum of five years over the road driving experience, heavy wrecker experience, construction-based equipment mobilization, or a suitable combination of each.
Mechanical knowledge and ability preferred.
Ability to work as an individual contributor and as a part of a team.
Must be able to maintain acceptable attendance standards per employee handbook.
Safe l y operate tractor-trailer combination with load on state and federal highway systems, through local traffic , high volume traffic, and open road situations .
Exposure to extreme temperatures– hot and cold.
Must maintain an acceptable driving record.
Must have and maintain a valid state issued CDL Class A-Driver’s License with driving record that meets Saiia’s risk management guidelines.
High school education or G.E.D required .
