Drafter

Description

• Prepare detailed civil and architectural drawings using AutoCAD, Revit, or other drafting software.
• Manage and prioritize workload to complete approximately one project per week.
• Interpret and apply design standards and specifications.
• The ideal candidate will be responsible for producing high-quality drawings and documentation for civil and architectural projects, with a strong emphasis on building-related drafting.
• Maintain organized records of drawings and revisions across 83 active job numbers, 43% of which are civil-based.
• This position involves supporting a diverse portfolio of projects ranging from $1 million to $100 million.
• Participate in project meetings.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, and project managers to develop plans for parking lots, retaining walls, multifamily buildings, office fit-outs, and industrial plant expansions.
• Ensure accuracy and consistency in all drafting deliverables.

Requirements

• Good communication skills.
• Committed work ethic and a desire to make drafting a long-term career.
• 3+ years of experience in civil or architectural drafting.
• Familiarity with expansion planning.
• Associate’s degree or certification in drafting, civil engineering technology, or a related field.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD 2020 or higher.
• Knowledge of structural materials such as steel and concrete.
• Experience drafting for commercial clients and high-value projects.
• Knowledge of permitting and construction documentation standards.
• Familiarity with construction techniques and documentation.
• Ability to work independently with occasional advice from a supervisor.
• Exposure to Civil 3D and Revit with an understanding of the fundamentals.
