Position Purpose: Act as McAdams representative for SUE projects, employing utility locating techniques to determine the location of underground utilities. Direct, supervise and manage the daily operations of SUE staff. Grow and foster relationships with public and private clients within Central Florida for SUE services. Lead and mentor SUE team staff in the Tampa Metro.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities include leading the SUE team, providing resource management, resolving complex technical problems, and coaching, training, and mentoring staff while collaborating on project execution. The role establishes, promotes, and ensures quality on all project work performed by the group. It develops proposals or contracts that align scope, profitability, and schedule viability. The position understands client business initiatives to identify new opportunities and cross‑sell firm services, assists in short‑ and long‑term strategic market plans for Central Florida, and cultivates long‑term client relationships. It is responsible for the profitable operation of the Tampa, Florida group.
- Represent McAdams on Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) projects and locate underground utilities.
- Supervise and manage daily operations of the SUE team in Tampa Metro.
- Lead, coach, train, and mentor SUE staff while resolving complex technical issues.
- Ensure high‑quality project delivery and resource management across all assignments.
- Develop profitable proposals and contracts that meet scope, schedule, and margin targets.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities and cross‑sell firm services in Central Florida.
- Contribute to short‑ and long‑term market sector planning for the Central Florida region.
- Maintain and grow long‑term client relationships to support the Tampa group's profitability.

Qualifications: Minimum 7+ years of office/field experience in Subsurface Utility Engineering or a related field and at least 3+ years of project management experience. Demonstrated ability to lead a team of SUE professionals, independently manage and grow key client relationships, and provide technical guidance through project execution and delivery.
