The Corrosion Control Technician will oversee corrosion control and documentation for roughly 200 miles of pipeline spanning Southeast New Mexico to West Texas, including associated compressor stations, and will support other technicians throughout Texas. This role is based in the Midland, Texas office.
- Monitor external and internal corrosion control and cathodic protection systems, perform maintenance, and document activities.
- Assess pipeline conditions, identify potential human or environmental threats, and mitigate safety risks.
- Test and evaluate cathodic protection system efficiency and recommend corrosion prevention measures.
- Troubleshoot non‑compliance issues, implement corrective procedures, and carry out repairs and installations.
- Conduct atmospheric and under‑insulation corrosion inspections and review internal corrosion control data.
- Review third‑party repair bids, oversee, and inspect completed work.
- Maintain records of system evaluations, improvement recommendations, and performed work.
- Manage scheduled regulatory inspections, including rectifiers, bonds, AC mitigation, and annual surveys.
- Develop company standards, procedures, and record‑keeping forms for the corrosion program.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements; attend safety trainings and maintain certifications.

- High School diploma or equivalent with at least 5 years of corrosion control experience related to DOT‑192 and Texas Railroad Commission.
- Experience with TRRC audits.
- Valid driver’s license and meet company insurability standards.
- Compliance with WWM’s drug and alcohol program.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, various operating systems, and basic math.
- Ability to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and respond to call‑outs and emergencies.
- Knowledge of reading blueprints, P&ID diagrams, and safe handling of flammable gases, liquids, and high/low pressure systems with PPE.
- Ability to work in changing climate conditions and in tight spaces, lift ≥75 lb, and access elevated platforms.
- Strong teamwork, attention to detail, and ability to follow work schedules and rules.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; fluency in English required.
