Field Associate, Ground Protection

Description

The Field Associate (Event Ground Protection) safely performs general labor and provides functional support for heavy access and event flooring businesses under the direction of a Yard Foreman, General Foreman, or Profit Center Manager. This role involves repairing mechanical equipment, handling ground‑protection tasks, and ensuring equipment readiness for job sites.

• Perform general labor and support heavy access and event flooring operations.
• Repair and maintain mechanical equipment using mechanical aptitude.
• Apply basic math skills for calculations and reporting.
• Follow Sunbelt’s safety policies; lift 25 lb+, bend, squat, and work outdoors.

Requirements

Candidates should have experience or training in mechanical equipment repair and possess a general mechanical aptitude. The position requires the ability to travel out of town, including overnight stays and weekends, and proficiency with the MS Office Suite, basic math, and strong customer communication skills.

A safety‑first culture is mandatory; the role demands bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, and lifting 25 lb or more while working both indoors and outdoors. Compliance with Sunbelt’s safety policies and procedures is essential.

• Preferred background: entry‑level mechanic, laborer, or yard worker.

Base pay ranges from $17.75 to $23.72 per hour, adjusted for location, education, training, and experience.
