Train roofers/contractors on installing VELUX skylights on site

Tasks

In this role, you’ll work directly with our customers (roofers, contractors, and installers) to train them on how to properly install our skylight products. You’ll be the go-to expert in the field, helping others learn best practices, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high-quality installations. -Assist with other events and ensure safety and quality during all training activities. -Support customers at our showroom when not traveling. -Help create training materials and track trainee info using our CRM system. -Work closely with our sales team to manage your own schedule and training calendar. -Help installers improve their skills and grow their business by sharing best practices and product knowledge. -Lead hands-on training sessions showing roofers and installers how to properly install VELUX products and sales techniques that target profitability and business opportunities. -Keep training sessions engaging, practical, and focused on real-world installation. -Travel to job sites and training events using our mobile setup, or host sessions at our Academy in Port Coquitlam.

What You Bring

Are you a roofer, handyman, or installer looking to take your skills to the next level? We’re looking for someone with hands-on experience in construction — especially roofing, landscaping, or general installation — to join our team as a Field Installation Trainer. -Enjoys working with their hands and teaching others -Familiarity with tools utilized in skylight installation is required. -Excels in a training/teaching setting and capable of creating enthusiasm. -Proficiency in essential technology tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. -Has a solid understanding of construction principles -Overnight travel is required (approx. 25% annually) -Is comfortable traveling to job sites and working directly with crews -No formal sales experience required — just a passion for construction and helping others succeed -Proficiency in building, roofing and construction practices is essential. -Must be capable of lifting, climbing, and stooping with loads exceeding 60 lbs. -Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, are imperative.
