Support the contracting of new providers including providing technical advice on service requirements, the use of variety of generation technologies for restoration and network connection/liaison.
Ensure that the GB Transmission System infrastructure and procedures are adequate and sufficiently resilient to support the re-starting of the GB transmission system in the event of a major failure.
Liaise across other NESO functions to ensure that ESR, system risks and resilience are understood and integrated into their work.
Provide input to restoration strategies and report on the impact and benefit of differing strategies.
Contribute to the implementation of the Electricity System Restoration Standard.
Provide a technical assessment ability to compliment the commercial assessment of new providers.
Support the liaison with DESNZ and Ofgem and other industry forums on ESR.

Prior project management experience and stakeholder engagement skills are an advantage.
Good level of competence in verbal and written communication skills – ability to write concise technical reports for a range of internal and external audiences.
Understanding on modelling (steady state, dynamic and EMT analysis).
Experience of data handling and information analysis.
Good understanding of different generation technology types including Thermal, Hydro, Wind, Solar, Storage and Interconnectors.
