The Controls Platform System Integration Engineer works within GE Vernova’s Wind Controls organization, designing and developing control systems for onshore and offshore wind turbines. This role owns quality, cost, and capability of the control platforms used across GE wind turbines and wind farms, and drives multi‑disciplinary programs that improve control technology and lower renewable energy costs.

The position includes relocation assistance for qualified candidates, supporting a smooth transition to the work location.

Assess renewable energy industry automation needs versus current technology trends and contribute to multi‑generation technology and product plans
Collaborate with program management and product line teams to develop high‑level control system requirements and communicate them to controls engineers
Participate in a multi‑disciplinary development team to incorporate system requirements into controller design
Identify key program risks and develop mitigation plans to ensure successful product delivery
Oversee lifecycle cost tradeoffs to deliver required capability at a competitive cost
Provide timely communication on significant technical issues or developments
Present or review technical and program reviews

Bachelor’s degree in Controls, Computer, or Electrical Engineering
Minimum of 8 years’ experience with embedded controls systems and real‑time operating systems
Strong oral and written communication skills
Proficiency in control system software requirements definition, flow‑down, and design
Demonstrated ability to lead projects in a global matrix organization
Master’s degree in Controls Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline
Knowledge of the GE MarkVIe control system
Experience with communication protocols such as PROFINET, MODBUS, EGD, OPC‑UA, and IEC‑61850
Understanding of data acquisition systems, remote monitoring, and SCADA
Proficiency with safety and security industry standards
