Participate in formal hand-off meeting with the submittal team on new orders received.
Design custom air handling units, which includes component engineering selections, air-handling equipment layouts, and specification development.
Create and maintain engineering documentation. Including technical reports, lab test results, drawings, and specifications.
Host/Co-Host Customer factory visits and factory witness testing.
Provide application, budget, layout, competitive review, takeoff, selection, and pricing support for field sales organization.
Be a technical liaison with field order entry personnel.
Reviews budgets and price quotations with the Sales Enablement Manager prior to sending to the customer.
Provide a complete package of information to the submittal team on new orders.
Advise project leaders on competitive advantages/disadvantages necessary in setting the most effective strategy for bids or design work.
Testing of selection and pricing tools.
Generate detailed proposals based on product selections and variations to the plan and specs.
Provide technical assistance for users of the Trane Select Assist software (TSA), specifically the field selectable Custom Air Handler.

Knowledge of heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning/refrigeration (HVAC/R) fundamentals preferred.
Lean or continuous improvement experience preferred.

Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, engineering (Electrical or Mechanical), with 0-2 years’ experience or 5-years equivalent experience working in the HVAC industry.
Ability to manage complex projects and multi-task.
Experience in AutoCAD preferred.
Ability to flourish with minimal guidance, be proactive, and handle uncertainty.
Proficiency with Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
