  • Reviewing, interpreting, and applying relevant provincial and federal acts and regulations.
  • Supporting the growth of our Air, Noise, and Compliance business in Western Canada.
  • Partnering with GHD’s North American Air, Noise, and Compliance team—which includes over 80 engineers and scientists—on projects related to air quality, climate change, and regulatory compliance.
  • Supporting Air, Noise, and Compliance projects for both existing and new clients across Western Canada. Collaborating with junior, intermediate, and senior staff on all aspects of project work, while providing mentorship to junior team members.
  • Assisting with client management, project delivery, and business pursuits, including air quality compliance reporting, air quality impact assessments for environmental approvals, and complex air quality modelling and monitoring projects.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field, with a pathway to attaining a P.Eng. designation under Engineers and Geoscientists British Columbia (EGBC).
  • Technical knowledge and experience with ambient air quality monitoring methods, regulatory frameworks, and atmospheric dispersion modelling (AERMOD and CALPUFF).
  • Managerial Experience: Experience of general supervision of more junior colleagues (7 to 12 months)
  • Strong familiarity with air quality and climate change regulations in British Columbia. Knowledge of related regulations in Alberta and Saskatchewan is considered an asset.
  • General Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience within a consulting environment and with project experience in British Columbia.
