Assist with the development of use cases and implementation of V2X applications tailored to specific client needs.
Support the exploration and subsequent application of practical AI as a transportation solution
Develop and execute technical training curricula for internal and external personnel
Attend national, regional, and local industry conferences as applicable; represent WSP in presentation of panels and papers at key events
Identify and pursue opportunities for projects with new and existing clients across the country
Identify new V2X technologies with possible value to new and existing clients and investigate their potential
Serve as a technical resource on V2X and supporting regional and local offices
Lead and mentor other technical WSP staff to grow WSP’s capabilities in V2X device deployment and commissioning
Lead proposal development
Serve as technical resource on the incorporation of innovative mobility practices into transportation operations strategy
Represent WSP in key industry committees including but not limited to ACEC, ITE, Regional ITS America State Chapters, Omniair, TRB
Participate in document review, design review, and project management meetings with state and local government clients
Develop System Engineering and other client documents
Guide other staff performing bench testing, first article testing, and system acceptance testing of V2X devices and systems
Support other staff with the integration and configuration of V2X devices, roadside equipment, and management systems

Exercise technical leadership and V2X subject matter expertise on pursuits/proposals, project delivery and in industry
Expert understanding of V2X system integration and system operation
Broad knowledge of ITS System Engineering processes and development of system engineering documents
Expert knowledge of V2X industry standards
Master’s Degree is preferred.
Minimum of a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering with a focus on Transportation or applicable alternative with equivalent industry experience (minimum 5 to 8 years)
Experience working with Federal, State, and local government agency clients
Expert understanding of V2X System deployment
