In this role, you will strengthen the enterprise portfolio by driving maturity in project governance, portfolio management, and executive reporting. Additionally, you will advance prioritization methods, refine reporting practices, and enhance frameworks and templates to create transparency, accountability, and repeatability.
- Provide oversight of risks, issues, and dependencies, identifying potential challenges, highlighting concerns during toll gates, and supporting project managers in developing mitigation strategies
- Provide day-to-day leadership, coaching, and career development support for project managers, strengthening delivery discipline and stakeholder engagement
- Deliver consolidated reporting on project and portfolio health (status, risks, issues, dependencies, prioritization) to executives and steering committees, ensuring leaders have visibility to make informed decisions
- Drive the maturity of enterprise project management practices by leading continuous improvement in governance standards, methodologies, and delivery discipline
- Represent the EPMO in forums and communications, reinforcing the importance of governance, structure, and disciplined project delivery
- Provide oversight through risk identification, toll gate reviews, and delivery guidance, helping project managers and business leaders anticipate and address challenges while maintaining accountability within project teams
- Lead portfolio and project governance processes, including toll gate reviews, deliverable validation, and methodology compliance
- Build trusted relationships with sponsors, executives, and business leaders, acting as a partner and advisor in support of portfolio and project success.
- Foster collaboration and build trusted relationships while coaching project managers and leading continuous improvement of project management practices — including templates, processes, and tools — to elevate execution maturity across the organization
- Assess, optimize, and oversee adoption of EPMO tools (e.g., PPM, Teams, SharePoint), recommending and driving replacement of existing tools where needed to maximize effectiveness
- Serve as the first escalation point for delivery concerns, resolving operational challenges where appropriate and escalating strategic matters when needed
- Lead the development, refinement, and rollout of project management templates, processes, and frameworks to ensure consistency and repeatability across all projects
- Partner with project managers and business leaders to strengthen accountability, ensuring initiatives are delivered within scope, budget, and schedule while promoting collaboration and transparency

While performing the duties of this job, this position is required to have ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations; and the ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of 10-50 pounds. Requires good hand-eye coordination, and arm, hand and finger dexterity, including the ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment and read application/form information. The associate frequently is required to sit, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear.
- Demonstrated experience implementing third-party software applications and leading projects with enterprise-wide impact
- Bachelor’s degree and 8–10 years of project or portfolio management experience, preferably in enterprise-level or cross-functional initiatives
- Knowledge of project portfolio management tools (e.g., Daptiv PPM, CA PPM) and commonly used Microsoft applications for project delivery (e.g., Project, SharePoint, Teams, OneNote, Visio)
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills with the ability to influence without direct authority
- Strong skills and experience in portfolio, program, and project management
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification strongly preferred; Portfolio Management Professional (PfMP) or other advanced certifications a plus
