The HSE Operations Lead will provide functional HSE oversight and resourcing solutions for Global Customer Projects, Services Operations, and other International Operations teams across the Pacific Zone. Reporting to the Pacific HS Director, the role leads a team of HSE Advisors, Specialists and Leads, delivers strategic advice, on‑site HSE presence, and directs HSE assurance, governance, emergency and incident management for off‑site operations.
- Design and implement HSE processes, templates, and systems for Pacific Zone projects.
- Schedule and onboard HSE Advisors to meet project pipeline demands.
- Manage performance and development of permanent and temporary HSE Advisors.
- Ensure compliance with incident management, notifications, and escalations for on‑site incidents and near misses.
- Lead major investigations of medical incidents or high‑potential safety near misses and produce stakeholder reports.
- Support HSE risk management for internal and external workforce on customer sites.
- Participate in ISO 45001 audit activities and other HSE certifications.
- Deploy global and Pacific‑wide HSE initiatives across projects and services.
- Represent the Pacific team in global customer project forums and meet regional HSE reporting requirements.

The successful candidate will have 10‑15 years of experience in a similar construction or services role in Australia or the Pacific, a tertiary qualification in HSE Management or equivalent, and strong commercial acumen, contractor and customer relationship management, and resource utilisation expertise.

- Travel interstate and to New Zealand regularly; full‑time on‑site presence required.
- 10‑15 years HSE leadership experience in construction or services within Australia/Pacific.
- Tertiary qualification in HSE Management or equivalent with strong commercial acumen.
- Proven ability to lead large, geographically diverse HSE teams.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, writing, presenting and digital skills.
- Advanced problem‑solving and analytical capabilities; resilient and persistent.
