The Design Engineer works primarily in an office setting, delivering civil site, access, and drainage designs that include permitting support, site layout, grading, stormwater analysis, survey coordination, and construction inspections. Under the direct oversight of a Professional Engineer, the role collaborates with civil, structural, geotechnical, construction management, and other discipline experts to produce construction drawings, specifications, and engineering support during construction.
Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and an Engineer‑in‑Training (EIT) or Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) certification, with 1–4 years of civil site design experience. Strong written and verbal communication skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and the ability to work efficiently with moderate supervision are required; familiarity with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or MicroStation is preferred.
The position requires occasional physical tasks such as lifting up to 40 lb, bending, climbing, and walking on uneven surfaces, and may involve up to 25% travel across North America. Employees receive competitive compensation, a 401(k) plan, comprehensive health coverage, PTO, tuition assistance, pet insurance, and professional development opportunities, all within an equal‑opportunity workplace.
