The role offers a hybrid flexible work arrangement and is responsible for coordinating and facilitating the interconnection of new generation and merchant transmission projects to the PJM system, as well as overseeing network upgrades to maintain long‑term reliability and adequacy.
Key responsibilities include serving as a liaison between PJM and stakeholders such as transmission owners, generators, and developers; developing and coordinating project work plans for generation and transmission reinforcement across multiple owner systems; managing project timelines and milestones from design through interconnection service agreement signing; and working with PJM divisions to align system reinforcement requirements. The incumbent also coordinates, develops, and issues interconnection studies and agreements, monitors and improves project‑management methods, and implements tactical plans aligned with division strategy.
Required qualifications are a bachelor’s degree in engineering (electrical preferred) or equivalent experience, 0–5 years of field experience with substation or transmission line construction and maintenance, strong attention to detail, quantitative and qualitative analysis skills, and the ability to apply mathematical and electrical theory and provide technical support. Preferred qualifications include a master’s degree in engineering, experience with PJM operations, markets, and planning, and proficiency with PSS/E power system analysis software.
