Mechanical/Electrical Engineer (MEP)

Description

As a Mechanical/Electrical Engineer specializing in MEP design, you’ll contribute to the full project lifecycle — from concept through construction.

• Coordinate with architects, civil engineers, and other disciplines to ensure seamless integration of MEP systems
• Stay current with applicable building codes, energy standards, and industry best practices
• Perform engineering calculations and design Electrical, or HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems for building projects
• Assist senior engineers and project managers in delivering projects on time and within budget
• Develop drawings, models, and specifications using Revit and/or AutoCAD
• Conduct site visits, field surveys, and construction administration duties
• Review shop drawings, respond to RFIs, and support contractors during project execution

Are you a motivated Mechanical/Electrical Engineer with a passion for MEP building design? Our client, a multidisciplinary engineering firm in the Philadelphia area is looking for a skilled engineer to join in designing innovative, sustainable, and efficient building systems across a wide range of project types — from healthcare and commercial to education, retail, industrial, government, and mixed-use developments.

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering, or related discipline
• Familiarity with building codes, ASHRAE standards, NEC, and other applicable design standards
• Cutting-Edge Tools: Hands-on experience with Revit and AutoCAD to produce high-quality design documents
• Proficiency in Revit and/or AutoCAD required
• EIT certification required; PE licensure preferred
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills
• Strong professional experience in MEP building systems design (minimum)
