Cost Controller

Overview

Control project costs, budgets and schedules for large infrastructure projects.

Tasks

-Ensure follow-up with project managers on regular updates of project forecasts, including periodic assistance in the estimation of remaining project costs, as well as necessary provisions and risks; -Calculate the initial budget on the basis of the proposal; -Evaluate change requests, evaluate their impact on project objectives and communicate changes to stakeholders; -Manage the cost control cycle throughout the project execution, by setting up projects/mandates, tracking budgets and schedules, within the project management system; -Records and resolves issues relating to project budgets and schedules; -Ensure tracking of hours, expenses, costs and budget updates; -Monitor changes and coordination with the project team; -Ensure the quality of prepared project status reports, executive summaries, and dashboards to provide timely updates on performance. -Ensure and manage the project progress monitoring with discipline managers, including cost and schedule controls;

What You Bring

-Strong personal IT skills (MS Office suite) and relevant software skills specific to project controls. -Administration, finance, or engineering degree; -Excellent organizational, communication and writing skills. -Bilingual (an asset), but proficiency in English language with excellent communication skills (written and verbal) is required; -Able to perform in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines; -Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar position; -Interest for numbers and rigorous in analyzing project costs; -Ability to work in a team;
