BGIS provides integrated facility management services to optimize operational efficiency.
The position is performed remotely but requires travel to client locations for training, meetings, and on‑site events. Responsibilities include design reviews, developing commissioning policies, QA/QC of installations, creating test plans, executing tests, training plant personnel, and acting as a liaison with vendors and subcontractors. The role also involves data analysis, technical reporting, and collaborating with clients and project teams to manage small to mid‑size projects within budget and schedule constraints.
BGIS is seeking a Commissioning Agent to join its team in Ireland or the Netherlands. The role involves commissioning mission‑critical centre equipment such as power generation and distribution systems, UPS, static transfer switches, PDUs, BAS/BMS, and HVAC. Candidates must have a solid understanding of electrical/electronic and mechanical systems, strong customer service skills, and be comfortable with travel up to 75% of the time, including national and international trips.
Applicants need at least seven years of industry experience in electrical power distribution, mechanical systems, or both, with five years specifically in commissioning. An AA degree, military training, or equivalent experience is required, along with proficiency in MS Word, Excel, AutoCAD, and knowledge of building codes, BCA, PECI, and ASHRAE procedures. Strong communication, organization, interpersonal skills, and the ability to work under high stress are essential, as is a passport for travel.
BGIS promotes a culture that balances sound business practices with employee development, work‑life balance, health and wellness, and community involvement. Personal transportation for off‑site meetings is reimbursed, and the company is committed to diversity, inclusion, and equal employment opportunity across all aspects of employment.
