What you would be doing

- Perform MIG welding, tacking, seam welding, and grinding.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures and promote a culture of safety and accountability.
- Participate in formal management training to support your growth into a leadership role.
- Read and interpret technical drawings to fabricate components to precise tolerances.
- Monitor team performance and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure all work is completed in line with health and safety regulations.
- Report directly to the Operations Manager with updates on progress, issues, and team performance.
- Act as the first point of contact for operational issues on the shop floor.
- Delegate daily work orders and tasks to fabrication team members.
- Liaise with the production planning team to ensure workflow efficiency and resource allocation.
- Maintain high standards of product quality and housekeeping.
- Operate fabrication machinery including guillotine, auto-feed saw, punch press, and radial arm drill.
- Provide frontline supervision, support, and guidance to team members.
