- Help check drawings for accuracy and completeness before they are sent for approval or fabrication
- Assist with preparing and updating shop drawings based on contract documents
- Enter and maintain drawing updates in our project files
- Participate in training to learn company and industry detailing standards
- Perform basic measuring and data collection tasks during site visits (with supervision)
- Carry out other entry-level duties as assigned to support the Project Manager and subcontractors
- Support coordination between detailing, fabrication, and field teams

- Coursework in drafting, engineering, or related field preferred, but not required
- Basic understanding of drafting principles; construction knowledge is a plus but not required
- 2-4 year college degree required
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Learn to read and interpret construction drawings for structural and miscellaneous steel
- Familiarity with CAD software (AutoCAD, SDS/2, or Tekla a plus, but not required — training provided)
- Strong attention to detail, a positive “can-do” attitude, and an eagerness to learn
