Working in a team environment, the IT Junior Project Manager will lead implementation of Capital Projects for the Information Technology Division throughout the project lifecycle, collaborating with multiple departments. Responsibilities include coordinating resources, overseeing construction, managing contracts, following schedules, supporting scoping, cost control, budgeting, and reporting, while adhering to NTPC's best practices and safety regulations. The role is designed to develop skills for transition to Project Manager.
A post‑secondary certificate or higher in Project Management is required, with a background in Information Technology considered. Minimum three years of relevant experience in construction, utility, or industrial settings is needed. Certifications such as PMP, Construction Management, or other PMI credentials are assets. Strong computer skills in Windows, MS Office, internet, email, and cloud services are required, along with a valid Class 5 driver’s licence and a clear criminal record.
The position pays $57.85–$70.28 per hour plus a location allowance of about $3,823 annually.
