Be pro-active in identifying the existence of all variations (changes) to the works, or any “claim” and “extension of time” situations in conjunction with other project team members.
Take the lead on client change requests (Variations)
Support and assist in the management of the subcontract procurement and payment process in accordance with the governance and fair payment processes
Ensure that all contemporary records are kept by the project team members for use in supporting claims, extensions of time, and the evaluation of variations.
Assist and advise the Commercial and Operational account management in ensuring timely issuing of all notices required under the Contract(s).
Ensure compliance with all company polices and to the Amey systems, processes, and procedures on Contracts of varying sizes.
Contribute to the identification, mitigation and management of opportunity and risk.
Produce monthly and/or weekly cost and value data to support forecasts to completion of the project(s), KPI measures, Applications for Payment as directed.
To support the procurement and management of subcontractors
Apply the Amey “Zero Harm” Safety Culture and support delivery of the account Target Zero Action Plans.
Be accountable for delivery of key commercial tasks as part of the wider commercial reporting requirement.
Assist in the delivery of commercial best practice with risk, change, cost, and value management
Contribute and administer the creation of robust coding structure to facilitate accurate cost capture in conjunction with the Senior/Commercial Manager.
Work with Finance to ensure the full cost control of project(s) including providing and monitoring budgets and forecasts in conjunction with the senior Commercial and Operational teams, assisting in the delivery of all commercial activities on the project including CVR reporting and WIP management in line with contractual entitlement.
Work within time periods required under the Contract(s) and as required by the Company.

Completion of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and progression to Technical/Member status of the relevant professional institutions will be an expectation of the role

Hold or enrolled on a quantity surveying, commercial or related profession, degree or master’s degree, is desirable but not mandatory
Previous work with financial, commercial and / or contract management of projects
Good commercial and financial acumen
