  • Ability to do occasional field work (site visits and inspections) and travel.
  • Knowledge of 3D finite element software such as CSiBridge, MIDAS, SAP2000, etc. is a plus.
  • Project experience in Ohio related to ODOT and/or local bridge design project work.
  • Bachelor's of Science in Civil/Structural Engineering degree.
  • Proficiency in software such as MicroStation, LEAP Concrete/Bridge, MathCAD, and MDX
  • Ability to pass MVR check.
  • Uses expertise in all steps of completing discipline component of PS&E package.
  • 6 + years of bridge design and plan development experience
  • Ohio PE or ability to obtain reciprocity within 6 mos.
  • Structural problem analysis skills (including knowledge/use of design and calculation tools, software)
  • Knowledgeable of standard engineering practices, techniques and applicable codes
  • Excellent verbal communication and writing skills, including technical report writing.
  • BA/BS + 6 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
  • PE license in state of Ohio or ability to obtain via reciprocity.
  • Experience in the plan production of transportation structures such as bridges, culverts, and retaining walls.
