H2M architects + engineers, a multi‑discipline architectural, engineering, and environmental consulting firm, is looking for a Staff Engineer with 1‑2 years of experience to join its Water Resources team in Melville, NY.
Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in civil or environmental engineering (or a closely related field) and possess up to three years of design experience on water‑supply projects, including familiarity with chemical and petroleum bulk storage systems. Additional expectations include field work that may require climbing, confined‑space entry, and regular travel to job sites, along with strong computer and communication skills.
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering (or related field).
- Possess 0–3 years of design experience on water‑supply projects; experience with Chemical Bulk Storage (CBS) and Petroleum Bulk Storage (PBS) preferred.
- Maintain a valid driver’s license and travel regularly to job sites.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, AutoCAD, ReVit, and BIM.
- Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills; self‑motivated and eager to learn.
- FE/EIT certification is a plus.
