Independently develop technical memoranda, letters, and reports.
Responsible for business development activities including locating trenchless rehabilitation project leads, discussion of teaming and leveraging existing and new client relationships to secure an ongoing stream of new business to sustain and grow the business in US and Canada.
Perform geotechnical engineering associated with the trenchless design and construction of municipal water and wastewater conveyance facilities.
Produce structural and geotechnical engineering calculations as required in support of trenchless rehabilitation design including cured-in-place-pipe (CIPP), sliplining, spray applied pipe lining (SAPL), spiral wound pipe, pipe bursting, pipe ramming and others. Adhere to all applicable local and national codes of practice for design.
Increase LJB’s visibility with internal and external professionals by participating in regional initiatives, conferences, committees, and community associations, including any identified industry activities.
Develop proposals, cost estimates and schedules for trenchless and rehabilitation projects; lead tasks and teams and produce technical deliverables (construction plans and specifications, structural/geotechnical calculations, design reports, and technical memoranda) according to client specifications.

Substantial professional project expertise in the planning, design and construction of a variety of tunnel and trenchless projects.
Thorough knowledge of relevant technical codes, operations, processes, and trends.
Technical engineering and field-level experience with delivering trenchless rehabilitation solutions for projects in soft ground and hard rock.
Experience in proposal writing and job scoping.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to communicate technical and non-technical information in a concise, professional manner, including participation in technical meetings and workshops with owners, contractors, and other stakeholders.

Registered Professional Engineer (PE) or equivalent knowledge of a wide range of trenchless rehabilitation construction methods and products.

Bachelor’s degree in relevant area of study required (Civil, Structural, Geological/Geotechnical, or related field), master’s degree preferred.
Experience with the inspection and design of rehabilitation measures for existing water/sewer tunnels and pipes.
