In this role you will collaborate with the design team to develop detailed solutions for hospitals, medical centers, clinics, and other healthcare facilities, covering wall assemblies, partitions, doors, screens, casework, and other components. You will use BIM software to produce coordinated 3D models, ensuring material specifications, dimensions, and attributes are accurately documented.
You will prepare construction documents and detailed drawings that comply with building codes, healthcare regulations, and industry standards, while maintaining consistency across all documentation. Collaboration with architects, interior designers, engineers, and other stakeholders is required to integrate detailing information into the BIM model and resolve any design conflicts.
Quality assurance responsibilities include reviewing BIM elements, performing clash detection, and validating that the model reflects the approved design. You will stay current with healthcare architecture trends, best practices, and building technologies, and contribute to continuous improvement through professional development and process enhancements.
The Architectural Technologist will create comprehensive and precise technical documentation, with a focus on healthcare projects. Proficiency in Building Information Modeling (BIM) is essential for accurately representing design intent in a digital environment.
Qualifications include a bachelor's degree in architecture, architectural technology, or a related field, and proven experience in healthcare architecture detailing. Candidates must be proficient with BIM tools such as Revit or ArchiCAD, possess strong knowledge of building codes and healthcare regulations, demonstrate meticulous attention to detail, and have excellent communication skills. Knowledge of sustainable design principles is advantageous. The internal job code is AT-GT-04, with a salary range of $85,000 to $100,000 annually.
