- Maintain robust and consistent HIL test coverage across all critical control functions

- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field, with 3+ years of experience in embedded systems or control systems testing, or a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience standard power systems drawings, including single line diagrams and ladder diagrams.
- Demonstrated experience with scripting languages such as Python or MATLAB for test automation and data analysis
- Familiarity with industrial communication protocols, such as Modbus, DNP3, and IEC 61850
- No relocation is being offered for this position. Candidate must reside within a 50-mile radius of location listed in job description to be considered. Active-duty military candidates are exempt from this requirement.
- Ability to develop and execute test cases for scenarios like islanding detection and black start

- Experience using HIL platforms, including RTDS, Typhoon HIL, or OPAL-RT
- Minimum 2 years’ experience with HIL testing tools and real-time simulation environments for microgrids (such as RTDS, Typhoon HIL, OPAL-RT)
- Analytical and debugging skills
- Knowledge of power systems, distributed energy resources (DERs), and microgrid control logic
- Knowledge of test automation frameworks and CI/CD integration
- Ability to work in an agile development environment
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in automating tests and analyzing HIL results to validate system performance.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience configuring and troubleshooting microgrid controls and communications in simulated environments.
- Communication and documentation abilities
