Performs precise and timely quantity takeoffs and estimates in accordance with company standards and formatting, with a thorough understanding of CSI/MasterFormat division systems across all stages of project documentation.
Utilizes bid solicitation software and participates in call campaigns to trade partners, subcontractors, and suppliers.
Participates in personal career development through on-the-job training, attends preconstruction/operations classroom training programs, participates in software training, seminars and assists in the development of the department.
Serves as a subject matter expert during estimate reconciliations with third-party estimators, design teams, and owners, with comprehensive knowledge of project documents and estimates.
Serves as a role model and promotes professional behavior.
Reviews plans and specifications for completeness, able to clearly convey inaccurate information to design team and our team.

A minimum of 2 years of estimating experience required; or a B.S. in Construction Management, Engineer, or related field combined with a minimum of 2 years of estimating experience.
Works well in an office setting, understands office decorum and abides by company dress code.
Proficient in all computer software programs used in preconstruction with particular emphasis on estimating software (for example, Beck Destini Estimator, Bluebeam, Excel, BuildingConnected Solicitation Software).
Understands and utilizes time management for takeoff workload.
Resourceful and diligent in seeking solutions to problems and adapting to new situations.
Able to develop new skills and knowledge quickly.
If assigned to Santa Ana, CA or Folsom, CA office this position will require occasional travel to San Diego main office.
Knowledgeable in Masterformat 02- 41.
Has a solid understanding of building design, site improvements, building systems, and construction materials.
This position is based in the office, with occasional remote work approved by company management.
Possess good organizational skills with strong verbal and written communication skills.
Strong computer skills include the ability to use estimating software, word processing, spread sheets, Teams, and email.
Demonstrates proficiency using a computer (PC) and company communication tools, such as email, internet, and Microsoft products (e.g., Word, Excel, Office, Outlook).
Ability to work solo or in team estimating.
