
Designs and manufactures power and propulsion systems for aerospace, marine, defence and energy sectors.
Key responsibilities include owning the definition of the product cycle, providing predictions and analysis of whole-system performance, and gathering, managing, and disseminating requirements with internal and external customers. The engineer will supply data to sub-system teams, define and manage system and product interfaces, and deliver insights into product-aircraft interaction and real-world operation. Additionally, the role involves maintaining relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
Candidates must embody Rolls-Royce’s safety-first principles and possess a bachelor’s degree in Engineering with at least two years of experience, or a master’s/PhD, and be U.S. citizens. Preferred qualifications include experience in performance-related support of gas-turbine design, simulation/modelling of turbine cycles or hybrid electric systems, proficiency with NPSS or similar tools, and programming skills in C++, Python, Fortran, or MATLAB. Knowledge of certification frameworks, product integrity, and cross-disciplinary engineering concepts such as mechanical design, aerodynamics, thermodynamics, and cost engineering is also valued.
