The Residential Construction Superintendent role is based at Hadco Corporate in Lehi, Utah. It is a full‑time position responsible for overseeing all phases of residential construction projects from start to finish, ensuring safety, schedule, budget, and regulatory compliance.
The superintendent interviews and hires site workers, approves timecards and leave requests, prepares work schedules and assignments, and enforces safety procedures and site rules.
Key duties include developing schedules and cost‑effective plans, collaborating on pre‑construction estimates, coordinating trades and labor, inspecting work quality and timeliness, preparing progress reports for owners and architects, and ensuring specifications, zoning, and permits are met. The superintendent monitors the project budget, maintains cost and inventory records, addresses safety violations, works with union representatives, and performs other related duties as assigned.
The role requires navigating all areas of the construction site in any weather and occasional lifting of up to 40 pounds. Hadco Construction offers a collaborative environment with over 750 employees across Utah, emphasizing expertise, safety, and teamwork.
Successful candidates possess strong verbal and written communication, the ability to work under pressure, detail‑orientation, and the capability to read and execute blueprints. They must understand legal and quality building requirements, quickly identify and solve problems, and have a bachelor’s degree in construction‑related fields plus at least four years of building‑trade experience.
