Preparation of construction drawings/documents;
Assistance to project managers and engineers in the functional and detailed design of transportation structures;
Collaboration with multidisciplinary team members including engineers, planners, scientists, and technical and administrative support staff in the development of detailed design contract packages;
Completion of detailed design drafting for a variety of project types;
Assistance with contract administration tasks including construction observation, shop drawing review, contractor submittal review, progress payment preparation, and responding to requests for information;
Coordination and completion of site assessments, construction observation and construction management of site documentation;
Calculation of quantity take-offs for concrete volumes, reinforcement, and miscellaneous steel for complex structures;

Diploma program from an accredited Architectural or Engineering Technologist Program, or equivalent.

Proficient use of current AutoCAD and/or Revit software is considered an asset;
0-5 Years of experience in the engineering consulting industry;
Understanding of the range of project design and implementation activities including development of design drawings and reports, contract document preparation, tendering, and contract administration is considered an asset.
Highly organized and detail oriented;
Knowledge of relevant municipal/provincial/industry engineering standards, specifications, and regulatory requirements is considered an asset;
Application of 2D and 3D CAD software such as AutoCAD and other specialty programs to produce design drawings;
Knowledge of Civil 3D is considered an asset;
