Graduate PHE Engineer

Description

• Work closely with and monitor the performance of the Technician (as appropriate).
• Responsible for planning, organising, and managing personal workload in order to meet deadlines in line with the manager's requirements.
• Ensure that appropriate service/design decisions are met.
• Ensure maintaining awareness of project budgets and raising any concerns regarding budgetary or financial issues.
• Undertake detailed engineering design.
• Ensuring all necessary Buro Happold staff are informed of relevant client matters.
• Ensure service and project work are carried out within agreed deadlines and within budget.
• Proactively raising concerns regarding workload and the ability to meet deadlines.
• Ensure senior staff are kept informed of important and relevant service/design decisions, and the objectives of the company and the client are achieved.
• Continually ensuring that practices, policies, strategy, and services represent the client’s and Buro Happold’s best interests and that Buro Happold policy is in keeping with current legislation, Indian Standards, and Codes of Practice, etc.
• Plan and help manage CAD & REVIT documentation of design work.
• Coordinating his/her work with other members of the project team.
• Senior staff are kept informed of important and relevant service/design decisions.
• Perform under the guidance of senior staff, in successful completion of assigned tasks, represent Buro Happold at meetings with the client, other professionals, and suppliers.
• Ensuring all relevant Buro Happold staff are informed of client matters.

Requirements

• Basic knowledge in pumping systems and pressure drop calculations.
• Basic knowledge in CAD & Revit.
• The applicant will need to have strong interpersonal and organisational skills.
• Familiarity with plumbing fixtures & fire protection equipment
• Microsoft Office, specifically Excel (a detailed understanding, including the use of macros).
• BE/B-Tech with 2 years’ experience or MTech (Mechanical or Civil Engineering)
• Basic understanding of plumbing principles, fire codes, and other relevant standards.
• Basic Knowledge of the principles of hydraulic and plumbing systems.
• Capable of understanding architectural and structural layouts with minimum assistance.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
