The role includes direct supervision of Resident Services Department employees, following organizational policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities involve training, planning, assigning, directing work, performance appraisal, rewarding, disciplining, and handling complaints and problem resolution.
- Assist residents with activities of daily living including dressing, grooming, peri‑care, toileting, and hygiene.
- Interact with residents empathetically, showing kindness, compassion, and respect.
- Observe and report daily to supervisor.
- Serve and assist residents in the dining room for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
- Initiate and participate in leisure activities per the activity calendar.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment for all residents.
- Perform daily general housekeeping duties according to cleaning schedules.
- Ensure a dignified caring atmosphere for residents, families, visitors, and associates.
- Respond promptly and courteously to resident requests, phone calls, and visitor inquiries.
- Ensure residents and responsible parties sign out when leaving the community.
- Maintain a safe and secure working environment.
- Identify and address objects or situations that could cause harm or falls.
- Observe and report safety hazards immediately to supervisor.
- Provide assistance to associates when requested or required.
- Follow established policies and procedures in emergency situations.
- Act as essential personnel during emergencies or inclement weather.
- Remain at the community until released by supervisor during emergencies.
- Work as a team player with other associates and management to accomplish assignments.
- Comply with attendance and call‑off policy.
- Participate in trainings, in‑service sessions, and mandatory meetings.
- Wear clean, appropriate attire per the dress code policy.
- Refrain from discussing resident care issues with families or visitors; refer inquiries to supervisor.
- Assist with training of new employees.
- Mentor new employees.
- Take initiative without prompting, seek information, and offer solutions and suggestions.
- Perform housekeeping and laundry duties to keep the community orderly, clean, and sanitary.

The job requires regular standing, walking, using hands, reaching, talking, and hearing, with frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, and occasional lifting up to 50 pounds.
