The Maintenance Level 1 role is tasked with daily unit‑turnover maintenance, completing work orders, and performing monthly preventative maintenance as directed by the Property Manager.
This position requires a broad skill set, including plumbing, electrical, carpet and drywall repair, carpentry, glass work, appliance service, HVAC, grounds upkeep, and concrete/tile maintenance, while also supervising maintenance assistants, coordinating vendor services, and ensuring units are ready for rent.
Applicants must hold a professional certification in HVAC, plumbing, or electrical, have at least five years of maintenance engineering experience, two years in a supervisory role, possess their own tools, and be legally authorized to work in the United States.
The job involves continuous standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 100 lb, as well as working in various conditions and positions. Schedule flexibility is required, including nights, weekends, and on‑call availability, while adhering to OSHA standards, uniform policies, and maintaining a positive, customer‑focused attitude.
