As a Water Quality Specialist you will work alongside a friendly, accomplished team of nearly 200 water management specialists, contributing to projects that safeguard the environment and enhance water quality. Recent work includes full‑river Thames simulations, updating catchment models for regulatory planning, and developing innovative drainage and wastewater management approaches.
You will coordinate and deliver water quality investigations, collaborate with environmental scientists, engineers and planners, and ensure high‑quality, integrated services for clients. The role involves leading project work, reviewing the output of others, building trusted client relationships, and supporting bid preparation and business development. Continuous professional development will be supported to meet professional institute requirements.

The position can be full‑time or part‑time and is flexible to be based in any of our UK offices, including major locations such as Birmingham, Bristol, Edinburgh, and Manchester.
The ideal candidate is flexible, eager to learn new skills, and holds a degree or higher in an environmental or scientific discipline, ideally chartered or working towards chartership. Experience in water quality modelling or data analysis, strong numerical and writing abilities, and knowledge of regulations such as the Water Framework Directive and Bathing Water Directive are required. You should be self‑motivated, collaborative, well‑organized, and capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously.
