Tasks

-Work closely with internal teams and external clients to understand project requirements and deliver high-quality engineering solutions. -Maintain regular communication with the manager to discuss project process, challenges, and opportunities for improvement. -Ensuring all designs comply with client and regulatory standards, maintaining a high-level of quality and safety. -Develop and implement distribution engineering designs for various projects (i.e. grid resiliency, feeder upgrades/replacements, OH/UG, and general distribution projects), ensuring efficient and effective distribution systems. -Offer guidance and mentorship to junior engineers/designers, fostering professional growth and development within the team (applicable to Senior level positions). -Work collaboratively with other distribution engineers/designers to share knowledge, resources, and best practices.

What You Bring

-Knowledge in Right of Way (ROW) aquisition, state regulatory frameworks, and permitting proceedures across multiple jurisdictions. -Experience in various distribution design software (i.e. Pole Foreman, AutoCAD, Maximo, GIS, Design Manager, WMS, DDS, SAP, etc.) -Knowledge of electrical distribution system design engineering standards, practices, and regulatory requirements; Knowledge of NESC and other applicable codes and standards. -Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work with in-house teams and external clients. -Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with strong skills in data organization and document preparation. -2-3+ years of utility distribution design engineering experience. -Bachelors Degree in related Engineering field or formal post-high school specialized trade from an ABET-accredited school.
