Assist in the ongoing training of maintenance staff and operators for scheduled and regular maintenance
Visually inspects and listens to machines and equipment to locate causes of malfunctions
Detects faulty operations, defective materials or/or equipment and reports as required
Work closely with management to determine equipment needs and expected issues that may be predictable in nature
Diagnoses problems, replaces or repairs parts, tests, and adjusts
Perform highly diversified duties in maintaining production machines and the plant facility’s equipment
Schedule maintenance for both preventative and unscheduled jobs and prioritize work according to company and manager needs
Provides emergency service and unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs to production equipment during machine service
Inspects and measures parts to detect wear, misalignment, or other problems
Responsible for purchasing parts and maintaining inventory
Coordinate services from outside vendors and contractors
Patches or replaces plaster/plaster board and paints walls, ceilings, and trim of buildings
Develop work instructions for production and facility’s equipment helping to build a preventive maintenance system
Perform mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of equipment, machines, and facilities

5+ years’ experience may be substituted in lieu of degree

Use a variety of hand and power tools and electric multimeters
Demonstrated ability to operate a variety of hand tools, ability to understand mechanical processes, possess electronics knowledge, and possess a basic knowledge of hydraulics
Ability to use computers proficiently
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
