Fabrication Front Welder - 3rd Shift

Description

• Reach, grasp, lift 50 lbs. and push/pull/slide heavy material and make coordinated movements of the hands and arms to grasp and move objects.
• Cleans and maintains equipment and work area to ensure functioning and safe working conditions and wears appropriate PPE.
• Accesses and utilizes various documents, with the use of computers, associated with the manufacture of products in assembly for completion of confirmations (e.g. Quality and Safety Documents, Operating Instructions, etc.)
• Works with ISO/work standards.
• Works directly with or under the direction of a Group Lead and/or Supervisor.
• Completes confirmation documentation via SAP data management system or DMM.

Requirements

• Speak, read, write, and comprehend the English language
• Required to operate front welder machine.
• Applicants must be legally authorized for employment within the United States without the need for current or future employer - sponsored work authorization.
• Lean Manufacturing techniques and experience are required for this role (5S, VSM, 7 waste, etc.)
• In this role, you must be able to meet the physical requirements, which include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Experience with SAP and DMM systems.
• Stoop, bend, squat, crawl, and climb
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Ability to read blueprints and apply basic shop math, digital literacy, and use of basic mechanical/measuring tools
• Successful years of continuous growth in the fabrication department.
• Prior experience / knowledge in spot welding or general welding.
• Read blueprints and front welds steel.
• Ability to complete 1/4 mile walk within 7 minutes, show strength & endurance carrying heavy objects weighing between 25 lbs. and 78 lbs. and push 12 lbs. using pulling machining, along with radial flexion and elbow extension under 2.5 minutes.
• Experience with make to order product.
