- Manage third-party consultants including architects, engineers, contractors, and municipal officials.
- Provide executive leadership with regular reporting on project status, risks, and key milestones.
- Negotiate contracts, bids, and change orders with consultants and general contractors.
- Support capital market efforts by preparing materials for investment committees and lenders as needed.
- Identify, underwrite, and evaluate potential development sites in collaboration with the acquisitions team.
- Prepare and maintain project budgets, schedules, and pro formas.
- Lead the entitlement and permitting process, ensuring timely approvals and adherence to local zoning and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor project progress and quality.
- Oversee all phases of self storage development projects from initial concept through completion and stabilization.
- Coordinate with internal construction, finance, and operations teams to ensure project alignment and successful handoff upon completion.

- Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Finance, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Ability to travel to project sites as needed (approximately 25–40%).
- Exceptional organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
- Deep understanding of entitlement processes, zoning codes, and municipal approvals.
