Responsibilities include evaluating validation and implementation of methods that create food‑safety indicators, collaborating with program teams and stakeholders to define peer‑review scope and regulatory questions, and providing detailed written responses with appropriate references.
The role is classified under IT Project Management and may require up to 10% travel. Candidates must be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance. The position supports a federal client by conducting public health risk and safety assessments of food chemicals under the Information Quality Act.
Applicants must hold a master’s or PhD in a relevant scientific field (e.g., chemistry, biology, toxicology, epidemiology, pharmaceutical sciences) and possess at least ten years of public‑health or health‑science experience. Evidence of expertise should be demonstrated through peer‑reviewed publications, advisory panel service, symposia leadership, or professional recognitions, along with strong analytical and communication abilities.
