Electrical Fueling Engineer - Aviation & Federal (Multiple Locations)

Multinational design‑build firm delivering critical infrastructure through engineering, architecture and construction.
Design and engineer electrical systems for aviation fueling and federal projects.
Design and specify electrical equipment including service entrance coordination with public utility, low voltage motor control centers, transformers, generators, transfer switches, power distribution centers (PDC’s) and other typical electrical equipment.
Provide leadership, training and mentoring to less experienced engineers and team members.
Development of AC power systems, one-line diagrams, motor starter schematics, electrical wiring diagrams, electrical area classification drawings, grounding drawings and lighting plans.
Develop Engineering/project labor estimates and schedules.
Develop and improve processes, tools, and standards.
Support business development and marketing initiatives.
Provide short term field support during construction.
Perform calculations: cable sizing, voltage drop, conduit sizing/fill, others.
Responsible for Quality Assurance process adherence.
Work with clients and vendors to obtain information required to complete engineering design deliverables on schedule and build work relationships.
Develop performance criteria for programmable logic controllers (PLC’s) and human-machine-interface (HMI’s) screens and others as required.
Perform electrical systems analysis including load flow, short circuit, arc-flash and breaker settings.
Participate in preparation of proposals and design-build / Engineer-Procure-Construct subcontract scope development.
Coordinate with the fuel mechanical discipline and support the development of Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams.
Design and specify facility support systems including site surveillance, gate access, lightning protection and operations buildings.
Develop network diagrams, instrument location plans, input/output (I/O) lists, instrument index, control philosophy, control narratives, cause & effect diagrams, and instrument specifications.
Develop system control philosophies and alarm setpoints, as well as provide EI&C comments on equipment procurement specifications.
Develop conceptual designs and execution plans.
Perform site visits to gather required EI&C information needed to perform established deliverables.

Aviation fueling industry (strongly preferred)
EPC project experience.
Familiarity with fuel process equipment – motor operated valves and controllers; automatic tank gauging systems for large and small tanks, leak detection systems, load computers, flow meters, etc.
Advanced knowledge of industrial standards and codes such as NEC, NFPA, API, PIP, IEEE.
Ability to perform quality reviews for detailed engineering documents and specifications.
Ability to travel.
Experience in ETAP and/or SKM software; computer aided design and modeling software such as AutoCAD, Plant 3D, Revit.
Minimum of 3 years related experience in:
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from ABET accredited program and successful completion of Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam.
Professional Engineer registration strongly preferred.
Must be proficient in the use of computer software (i.e., MS-Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Demonstrate critical thinking skills, ability to work methodically and analytically in a quantitative problem-solving environment.
Completion of master’s degree in related field may be substituted for one year of experience.
Federal fueling industry (strongly preferred)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
