The Senior Accountant is responsible for customer invoicing, project billing, month-end close, and financial reporting, while collaborating with the Controller to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and continuous improvement in our accounting systems and workflows.

  • Client communication on invoicing and payment questions
  • Process bills and payments in Tipalti
  • Development and documentation of business processes and accounting policies to strengthen internal controls
  • Audit requests, compliance reviews, and year-end reporting, including coordination and document preparation for the annual review
  • Cross-functional collaboration with design, procurement, and operations teams for billing accuracy
  • Support for tax audits and tax returns
  • Journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial statements

Kelly Wearstler is looking for a Senior Accountant to join our Finance and Accounting team. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented and proactive professional who thrives in a dynamic, creative environment and can independently handle end-to-end accounting activities.

  • General ledger integrity, project costing, and revenue recognition within NetSuite
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, etc.)
  • Accounting and software troubleshooting
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Self-starter with proven ability to manage accounting functions independently and meet deadlines
  • Clear communicator with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong working knowledge of NetSuite or equivalent ERP system, with experience using Tipalti, Avalara, Notion, or similar tools
  • Process automation and system improvements leveraging Excel, NetSuite saved searches, Notion, and AI tools
  • 5–8 years of progressive accounting experience (retail, project-based, or professional services industry preferred)
  • Financial analysis, forecasting, budgeting, and variance explanations
  • Comfortable working across creative and executive teams and able to communicate financial information to a wide audience
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
