The Senior IT Auditor leads and executes complex IT audits for RPM International, focusing on general controls, information security, system implementations, and other IT‑related activities outlined in the annual audit plan. The position is based at the Medina, Ohio headquarters, working on‑site 2–3 days per week, and may involve up to 15‑20 % travel.
Key responsibilities include evaluating the design and testing the operating effectiveness of high‑risk IT internal controls, then preparing concise summaries of procedures and results. The auditor also develops remedial recommendations with implementation schedules and conducts follow‑up discussions and tests to verify corrective actions.
The role conducts higher‑risk and complex audit procedures during major software and ERP (SAP ECC/S4‑HANA) implementations, as well as other IT‑focused audits following the internal audit program. Summaries of audit work and findings are produced, recommendations for improvement are provided, and follow‑up is performed to ensure effectiveness.
The Senior IT Auditor responds promptly to internal requests for support and assists external auditors, such as Deloitte, as needed. They stay informed of applicable laws and regulations and maintain professional competence through participation in professional organizations and relevant training.
The auditor works daily with internal audit staff, managers, and directors, and periodically meets with the Chief Audit Executive to discuss objectives and results. Interaction also includes the corporate IT department, IT management across operating units, and regular contact with external auditors.
Candidates must have 3–5 years of relevant experience and a bachelor’s degree in MIS, IT, Business Systems, or a related field. A current CISA certification (or intent to obtain) is preferred, along with knowledge of SAP ECC/S4‑HANA and experience with Auditboard.
