Apply project management principals and corporate best practices to achieve project quality, schedule and budget objectives.
Prepare design drawings and report figures for functional, preliminary and detail designs using AutoCAD Civil 3D and related software.
Building and maintaining relationships with existing and potential clients.
Prepare engineering reports and business proposals.
Interpret survey information to support preliminary engineering designs, quantity calculations and as-built constructed drawings
Provide Highway design and design guidance to other team members.
Supporting projects through planning, design, procurement, and construction work for roadway, municipal, structural and airport related infrastructure assignments.
Liaison with all discipline team members, sub consultants, clients, and agencies.
Work with other project team members to the administer roadway construction projects.
Work in a safe manner at all times and report all health and safety incidents and concerns.
Conduct activities in line with internal procedures, legislation, and industry standards.

Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
Solid understanding of survey layout and interpretation of detailed design drawings.
3 to 8 years of work experience, preferably in the consulting industry.
Field inspection or survey experience would be considered a strong asset.
Willingness to travel to support construction projects and field investigations in the mountain parks and Arctic.
Possess a strong ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with staff and clients.
Registration with ASTTBC, ASET or similar is preferred.
Have a sound understanding of Civil engineering principals.
Completion of Civil Engineering Technology Diploma from a recognized technical school or several years of practical experience.
Previous experience applying highway engineering design standards in AutoCAD Civil 3D and other software would be an asset.
