Director of Transportation

Description

• Develop and execute business strategies including pursuits in conventional delivery, design-build, and P3 projects
• Lead the growth of the transportation practice, driving client development, proposal pursuits, and strategic partnerships
• Represent the firm at top-level client meetings, negotiations, and professional organizations
• Direct and mentor engineering and project management staff, fostering collaboration and technical excellence
• Build and maintain strong relationships with state DOTs, municipalities, and local agencies
• Oversee technical quality, project delivery, and profitability of transportation contracts

Requirements

• Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to integrate technical expertise into winning business strategies
• Exposure to impactful highway and multimodal transportation projects across Florida
• Strategic leadership position with influence over regional growth and business direction
• Proven track record delivering and winning highway/transportation projects with FDOT and local government agencies
• Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills
• 15+ years of diverse engineering experience with at least 5 years in senior leadership or management roles
• Strong client network in Florida, with ability to secure new contracts and expand relationships
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering + Professional Engineer (PE) license in Florida
