The Development Director provides strategic leadership and oversight of AlphaX’s real estate development portfolio, ensuring projects advance from acquisition through construction and stabilization in alignment with company goals. This role sets development strategy, secures financing, manages investor relationships, and ensures the successful execution of master-planned communities, affordable housing, and mixed-use developments. The Development Director is a senior leader who represents AlphaX externally and plays a key role in shaping the company’s growth and impact.

  • Lead financial structuring, investor presentations, and financing efforts including debt, equity, and joint venture partnerships.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with lenders, investors, municipalities, and community stakeholders.
  • Ensure entitlement and permitting processes align with project timelines and company objectives.
  • Represent AlphaX at industry events, community forums, and with public officials as a senior leader and ambassador of the company.
  • Identify growth opportunities, new markets, and partnerships to advance AlphaX’s mission of creating affordable, sustainable housing.
  • Establish project performance metrics; oversee reporting to investors and senior leadership.
  • Oversee and guide all aspects of the development lifecycle, site acquisition, entitlement, design, financing, construction, and disposition.
  • Define and drive development strategy for AlphaX’s growing California portfolio.
  • Supervise and mentor the development team, setting goals and building capacity across all levels.

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in real estate development, with significant leadership responsibility.

  • Visionary leader who balances strategic planning with execution.
  • Excellent in interacting with public agencies, consultants, and community stakeholders.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Finance, Architecture, or related field (Master’s in Real Estate, Urban Planning, or MBA strongly preferred).
  • Deep expertise in entitlements, permitting, financing, and construction delivery in California.
